Mt. Kizito Makuburi – Jitwike Godoro

The choir of Mt. Kizito Makuburi has released “Jitwike Godoro”. You can stream and download Kizito Makuburi Jitwike Godoro MP3 on this page.
“Jitwike Godoro” means “Pick up your mat” in Swahili, and it comes straight from the Gospel. In John 5, Jesus met a man who had been lying by the Pool of Bethesda for 38 years, waiting for healing. Jesus told him, “Simama, jitwike godoro lako, uende”, “Get up, pick up your mat and walk.” And the man did.
That command still speaks today. Many of us have been “lying down” for a long time: in sickness, in disappointment, in sin, or in a situation that feels permanent. This song is a call to stop waiting by the pool and believe that Jesus can lift you up. Play it when you need faith for a breakthrough, during a healing service, or share it with someone who feels stuck.
The choir is named after Saint Kizito, the youngest of the Uganda Martyrs, who gave his life for his faith in 1886.
