“Mwaminifu” means “Faithful” in Swahili. It’s one of the most comforting things we can say about God. People make promises and sometimes break them. Plans change. Circumstances shift. But God stays the same. As Lamentations 3 puts it, His mercies are new every morning, and great is His faithfulness. And 2 Timothy 2:13 says that even when we are faithless, He remains faithful.

This song is a testimony. It looks back over the years and recognises that through every high and low, God never let go. Play it when you need to remember how He came through for you before, when you’re waiting on a promise, or during a thanksgiving service when you want to say it out loud: God has been faithful.

Paul Clement has been busy lately. Don’t miss his recent single “Siogopi” and his feature on Pendo Kihayile – Kwa Neema. You can find all his songs on GospoHot here.
